I am a concerned citizen about California air quality and quality
of life.  Our state is a leader in production and agricultural
sectors, so it is also the case that we produce much of the air
pollution that negatively affects the quality of air we breathe
and thusly the quality of our lives as Californians.  As an
individual, I know there are a few powerful tools we have to
effect improved air quality, such as driving our cars less among
making other 'smart' consumer choices.  I know it is also my
responsibility as an educated (socially and politically conscious)
indidivual to hold accountable the individuals and bodies that
legislate the laws that also govern our society, our every day
lives, extending to the very issue of our air quality.

If I even just consider our major sea ports and recognize the air
pollution that is produced there, I can only imagine how large a
role things like vehicles and trucks play in also adding to
polluting our air quality.  California needs cleaner air.  Please
consider voting to strengthen the air standards and reduce air
pollution from in-use off-road diesel vehicles.
