It is apparent that there is a crisis in our country because
millions of people are suffering from asthma and related illnesses
caused by air pollution.In the Central Valley of California, a very
high percentage of the young are suffering from asthma.This
proposed law can prevent 4,ooo premature deaths each year.This
proposed legislation if enacated could save the state of
california and its people billions of health costs.Its time to
attack the problem of contruction related pollution and this is a
good time to start.If we continue to allow the construction
industry to do business as usual, millions of people will continue
to become ill and suffer serious health prolems.This is a chance
for our government to do the right thing and protect the people
from air pollution.
