| Subject | Stronger Rules to Reduce Air Pollution from Construction Equipment |
| Comment | Please support and adopt stronger regulation to reduce air pollution from construction equipment in California. At present construction equipment is the second largest source of diesel pollution in the state, producing 20% of particulate matter and 16% of smog-forming Nitorgen Oxides (NOx). This pollution is a serious hazard to public health. It is our understanding that the proposed new regulation would by 2020 prevent 48 tons per day NOx and 5 tons per day particulates from entering the air we all breathe.
