Dear California Air Resources Board, 

Please support the California Plug In Hybrid conversion industry
by raising the Tier 1 ceiling to 100 vehicles up from the currently
proposed 10. 

This will further the development of key technology that speeds
the transition from petroleum-fueled vehicles to those powered,
where possible, by locally generated solar power. This trend will
result in lower energy consumption overall, and cleaner air as we
make the switch to more environmentally responsible forms of energy
to run our automobiles.  

In addition, the plug-in conversion business is a model of the
local, independent, and forward-thinking enterprise that we sorely
need to find creative solutions to the problems that face us as a
society.
