Hello,

I am contacting the Air Resources Board today, to urge, to plead
that you not vote to adopt these proposed amendments. These
amendments would make it nearly impossible to see great
improvements in emissions in vehicles which are responsible for a
good bulk of the green house gas in our atmosphere today. To have
effective Climate Change policy we need to start TODAY!

You need to send a clear message that California is done waiting
around for the automakers to start mass producing vehicles which
are affordable and more importantly GREEN. Don't let automaker/oil
lobbyists convince you that they can't do it, they can and they
have before. Just look back at your Boards own history to see the
decisions that have guaranteed our addiction to oil continues.
What happened to the EV-1? The Rav 4 EV? The Ford Ranger EV? All
of them had good range and speed.

Just think about the technology we could have today if the Board
had not been wooed by the automaker industry... Listen to the
public you serve! Please.

I don't want to live in a world where my children someday might
never know what a Polar Bear looks like in the wild, or what
glaciers of immense magnitude look like and do for our world. The
changes have to start somewhere! Be the heroes we need! Tell them
that California is tired of Smog, tired of wars for oil that
further our addiction, and tired of no one else doing anything
real to deal with our changing climate!
