GPI is pleased ARB is allowing the facilities to develop offset projects throughout North America (depending on linkage with other programs) and apply those offsets for compliance in California. This is an important aspect of the this regulation that will allow industry to find the most inexpensive solutions for cap and trade compliance, minimizing impact on businesses and their customers, the residents of the state of California. The larger the linkage between jurisdictions for cap and trade, the better chance we can smooth out volatility in the price of allowances.
