Subject: AB 32 scoping plan
Comment:
The passing of AB 32 made me proud to be a Californian. I am hopeful that the CARB plan will be a strong one that actually makes possible full implementation of the intent of that law. The cap and trade program should include as many sources as possible in order to close loopholes and make it maximally effective. It makes sense that CARB should direct local air quality districts to develop indirect source rules to control the pollutants involved in new developments. I support CARB's preliminary recommendation that the state immediately adopt a 33% RPS by 2020. Nationally, globally, and locally, it is urgent to move the alternative energy and anti-global warming agendas forward with strong measures. I am grateful for all that you are doing.
