This is to let all interested parties know that the amendments to the Regulation for Small Containers of Automotive Refrigerant (Regulation) were approved by the Office of Administrative Law on April 13, 2017 and became effective on the same day. A regulatory advisory letter with respect to the changes was released and posted today at the Air Resources Board’s (ARB)’s Regulation website at: https://www.arb.ca.gov/cc/hfc-mac/hfcdiy/references/amendment_advisory_retailers_and_manufacturers_2017_04_27.pdf Additional information can also be found at the regulation’s webpage: http://www.arb.ca.gov/cc/hfc-mac/hfcdiy/hfcdiy.htm To facilitate implementation of the approved amendments, ARB staff invites you to participate in a public stakeholder meeting to discuss the changes. In particular, we’d like to discuss the extensive changes made to the Enhanced Education Programs that are funded by unclaimed consumer deposits and to brainstorm ideas to improve the return rates and support other programs, projects, and measures reducing greenhouse gases.
