arbcombo -- Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) Tier 2 Pathway Release for Public Comment

Today LCFS staff is releasing a Tier 2 pathway for biogas to Compressed Natural Gas (bio-CNG) derived from anaerobic digestion of livestock manure at Fair Oaks Dairy Farm, LLC in Fair Oaks, Indiana. This pathway application was submitted by Renewable Dairy Fuels, a subsidiary of AMP Americas LLC. This livestock project is registered as a compliance offset project in ARB’s Cap-and-Trade program. This posting is open for a 10-day public comment period per requirements under the LCFS regulatory requirements. The public comment period will end June 22, 2017 at 5:00 PM (PDT). Background on the LCFS The Low Carbon Fuel Standard is a regulation to reduce the carbon intensity of fuels sold in California. The LCFS is one of the measures adopted by the California Air Resources Board, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 38500-38599 (AB 32) to reduce greenhouse gases in California. It is designed to help clean the air, protect the environment, and drive the development of clean, low-carbon fuels to improve California's energy security and energy independence.
