Posted: 27 Jun 2017 17:00:14
The California Air Resources Board (ARB) is soliciting brief research ideas from the general public as part of the process of developing the 2018-2019 Annual Research Plan. Although ARB accepts research ideas year round, August 7, 2017 is the deadline for submissions to be considered for inclusion in ARB’s 2018-2019 Research Plan development. Research ideas are limited to 300 words and should very clearly articulate why the idea is relevant to ARB’s policies and/or programs. It should include clearly stated research objective(s), a very brief description of methods that could or would be employed, and what the final product or deliverable of the research would be. Information on time and funding needed to conduct the research is helpful but not required. You may wish to review ARB’s programs or previous research plans. Only ideas that clearly demonstrate policy relevance to ARB will be considered. Researchers may reference the 2017-2018 Annual Research Plan that was approved by the Board on April 27, 2017. This Plan includes background on the research program’s goals, past research highlights, and information on current research initiatives. More information on ARB’s research planning process and copies of Annual Research Plans can be found at: https://www.arb.ca.gov/research/apr/apr.htm If you are interested in submitting a research idea, please visit ARB’s research idea submission website at: http://researchplanning.arb.wagn.org/ to submit your idea no later than August 7, 2017, 5:00 pm PST. If you have any questions, please contact Sarah Pittiglio at (916) 324-0627 or sarah.pittiglio@arb.ca.gov.
