inuseag -- Diesel Agricultural Engine Regulation - New Guidance Documents Available

The California Air Resources Board (ARB) has posted several new guidance documents regarding the regulation of stationary and portable diesel engines used in agriculture. A list of the new documents is provided below: • ARB letter and memo presenting ARB legal staff's interpretation that, consistent with State law, portable diesel agricultural engines owned or operated by the agricultural source owner/operator are subject to the Stationary Diesel Engine Airborne Toxic Control Measure (ATCM) (effective October 18, 2007), unless the engine is owned by a rental/leasing company; • Fact Sheet Update - Control Measure for In-Use Stationary Diesel Agricultural Engines; • Overview of Diesel-Fueled Ag. Engine Requirements; • Frequently Asked Questions - Portable and Stationary Agricultural Engine Requirements; and • Local Air District Locator. The new documents, ARB contacts, and other information regarding the Stationary Diesel Engine ATCM are available at http://www.arb.ca.gov/diesel/ag/inuseag.htm.
