arbcombo -- AB 32 Goods Movement Sector Workshop -- April 15th

Posted: 01 Apr 2008 13:13:50
The California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff invites you to
participate in the first public workshop to discuss concepts for
reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from the goods movement
sector. The goods movement sector includes the vehicles and
equipment that transport cargo throughout California. The
purpose of this workshop is to provide an overview of ARB
activity on this sector, and to discuss concepts to achieve the
maximum reduction in GHG emissions through strategies that are
technically feasible and cost-effective. The concepts discussed
at this workshop may be developed into measures that will be
included in the AB 32 Scoping Plan, and may ultimately help meet
the State’s goal of reducing GHG emissions to 1990 levels by
2020, as required by the California Global Warming Solutions Act
of 2006 (AB 32).
