What's New List Serve Post Display

PUBLIC WORKGROUP MEETING TO DISCUSS THE DEVELOPMENT OF A
REGULATION TO REDUCE EMISSIONS FROM UNDER INFLATED VEHICLE
TIRES. 

The Air Resources Board (ARB or Board) staff invites you to
participate in a public workgroup meeting to discuss concepts
for reducing the global warming impacts of under inflated
vehicle tires.  It is estimated that greater than 70 percent of
all vehicles operate on at least one under inflated tire
resulting in reduced gas mileage and increased emissions. 
Reducing Greenhouse Gas emission from under inflated tires is
included as a discrete early action measure pursuant to the
California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 (AB 32).  

The workgroup meeting will entail an update on ARB’s regulatory
concepts as well as stakeholder research presentations that have
been conducted on Inflation Pressure Retention (IPR) Standards. 
The presentations are part of ARB’s ongoing information
gathering process and provides a unique opportunity to discuss
the issues with those directly involved with the research.
