This notice is to advise all PERP participants that District
notification is NOT required for engines registered in PERP. 
Notification is still required, however for equipment units. 
Equipment units are defined as any machine or process that emits
particulate matter only (rock crushing & screening, concrete
batch plants, wood grinding, abrasive blasting, etc.)  

We have set up an automatic district notification form on our
website (www.arb.ca.gov/portable/portable.htm), but it should
only be used for registered equipment units, not engines.
