harp -- Update to HARP Version 1.4
Posted: 25 Jun 2008 15:06:03
This notice is to inform you that two corrections have been made to version 1point4 of the HARP software. 1. A file was inadvertently left out of the HARP full setup file. This file is used for the new Keyhole Markup Language (KML) feature which exports the risk contours from the HARP Risk Module to Google Earth. ***If you have downloaded and installed the full setup file prior to 6/25/2008, you can get the missing file by downloading and installing the patch (harppatch062008.exe) at the following website: http://www.arb.ca.gov/toxics/harp/software/harppatch062008.exe .*** 2. A clarification has been made to the HARP Health Database. The May 2008 version of the database contains an oral cancer potency value for ethylbenzene. HARP was not using this value to calculate multipathway risk. The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment has confirmed that ethylbenzene is not a multipathway pollutant for the Air Toxics “Hot Spots” Program. Therefore, to avoid confusion, the oral cancer potency value has been removed from the June 2008 version of the HARP Health Database (health.mdb). ***Please download the June 2008 version of the Health.mdb file from the HARP website: http://www.arb.ca.gov/toxics/harp/software/health.mdb . Save the file in your HARP program directory (usually C:HARP). The new Health.mdb will overwrite the existing version of the health database (May 22, 2008).*** Please contact Michele Houghton (mhoughto@arb.ca.gov) if you have any questions.
