Second Sentence after the initial heading: October 2 and 7, 2008 BAR Workshop Notice Regarding Smog Check Procedures. We have posted the following document in advance of the October 2, 2008 workshop (in El Monte) and October 7, 2008 (in Sacramento)concerning the Bureau of Automotive Repair's diesel test procedures to bring diesel vehicles into the Smog Check program per the Assembly Bill 1488 mandate: (1) The vehicles affected by this mandate include 1998 and subsequent model year diesel vehicles weighing less than 14,000 GVWR.
