arbcombo -- Verification of Catalytic Exhaust Products Dieselytic SXS-SC DPF and Rypos ADPF for Stationary Diesel Engines
Posted: 30 Dec 2008 11:58:02
This notice is to inform you of one new verification and one updated verification of diesel emission control devices for stationary engines. The ARB has verified the Catalytic Exhaust Products Ltd. Dieselytic SXS-SC diesel particulate filter (DPF) as a Level 3 Plus device for Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3 certified off-road engines used in stationary prime and emergency standby generators and pumps. The Dieselytic SXS-SC DPF reduces diesel particulate matter by 85 percent or greater and does not increase nitrogen dioxide (NO2) emissions beyond the 2009 limit of 20 percent of the baseline oxides of nitrogen (NOx) emissions. Additional information and criteria for this verification are available on our website below: http://www.arb.ca.gov/diesel/verdev/vt/stationary.htm#cepdieselytic The ARB has designated the stationary diesel engine verification of the Rypos, Inc. Active Diesel Particulate Filter (ADPF) as a Plus system meeting the January 1, 2009 nitrogen dioxide (NO2) requirements. The ADPF has been verified as being able to achieve a Level 2 particulate matter reduction (at least 50%) for 1996 through 2008 model year certified off-road diesel engines that emit 0.4 g/bhp-hr particulate matter or less when used in stationary emergency standby generators. Additional information and criteria for this verification are available on our website below: http://www.arb.ca.gov/diesel/verdev/vt/stationary.htm#ryposadpf If you have any questions regarding these verified devices, please contact John Lee at jlee@arb.ca.gov or 916.327.5975 or Kirk Rosenkranz at krosenkr@arb.ca.gov or 916.327.7843.
