arbcombo -- Release of the draft updated fuel pathways from CA-modified GREET model

As required by the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) rulemaking
process, staff of the Air Resources Board continues to revise and
release updated life cycle analysis of transportation fuels
utilizing the CA-modified GREET model. 
Staff is releasing the following documents at this time: 

• CARBOB (Gasoline blendstock)
• Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel
• CA Reformulated Gasoline 
• Compressed Natural Gas from North American Natural Gas
• Sugar Cane Ethanol from Brazilian Sugar Cane for use in the
U.S.

These draft pathways (version 2.0) have been completed based on
the updated CA-modified GREET model version 1.8b (released
December 2008), which does not include Land Use Change Impacts. 
The CA-modified model 1.8b is available for download from the
LCFS website at http://www.arb.ca.gov/fuels/lcfs/lcfs.htm.  

Additional fuel pathway documents are expected to be posted in
the next 7 days and will include Corn Ethanol, Hydrogen,
Electricity, Biodiesel from Soybeans, Renewable Diesel from
Soybeans, Cellulosic Ethanol from Biomass (Farmed Trees), CNG
from Landfill Gas, and LNG from NG.  The CA-GREET model posted
has been updated for the fuel pathways listed here.
