maritime -- Advisory for Ocean-Going Vessel Regulation

An advisory (Marine Notice 2009-1) regarding implementation of an upcoming ARB regulation on fuel sulfur and other operational requirements for ocean going vessels is now available for owners and operators of ocean-going vessels that visit California ports. The regulation requirements are scheduled to become legally effective July 1, 2009. A second advisory (Marine Notice 2009-2) will be issued shortly as a companion to this notice and provides additional detail on the regulation.
