aircleaners -- Reminder - Air Cleaner Notification Due October 18, 2009

This is a reminder that the deadline for manufacturers to notify their distributors, retailers, and sellers about the air cleaner regulation and provide documentation of that notification is October 18, 2009. The regulation specifically requires that manufacturers provide a copy of the regulation to their distributors, retailers, and sellers. That requirement may be met in several ways: 1) a mailed notification letter with a printed copy of the regulation enclosed; or 2) an email notification with the regulation document attached and referred to in the body of the email; or 3) an email notification that includes a direct link (http://www.arb.ca.gov/regact/2007/iacd07/finalreg07.pdf) to the document. Please note that providing an indirect link, such as to our air cleaner regulation webpage, is not sufficient to meet this requirement. For further information about meeting the notification requirement, see the instructions for manufacturers at http://www.arb.ca.gov/research/indoor/aircleaners/mfrdistnotice_instructions.pdf. Please note that there is a cover page provided at that website that you need to complete and submit with the other required materials. As a reminder, we are on furlough the first, second, and third Fridays of the month. So, we regret that we will not be in the office tomorrow, October 16.
