California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff invites your participation in a public technical discussion on mandatory reporting of greenhouse gases (GHGs) for general combustion sources, and verification of emissions reports. Your comments and input are requested as ARB staff develops a regulation for mandatory reporting and verification by January 1, 2008 as required under the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 (AB 32; Statutes of 2006, chapter 488). The meeting will be held at the following time and location. Date: Monday June 25, 2007 Time: 9:30 AM – 12:30 PM (Pacific Time) Location: Sierra Hearing Room, 2nd Floor Address: Cal/EPA Headquarters 1001 I Street Sacramento, CA 95814 At this meeting ARB staff will lead a discussion of proposed GHG reporting requirements and estimation methods for general stationary combustion sources, including co-generation facilities. There will also be a discussion of proposals for third party verification requirements for the GHG emissions reports submitted by affected industries. ARB staff is also available to discuss our reporting and verification proposals directly with interested parties. Draft regulatory language is expected to be available later this summer. For those unable to attend the meeting in person, a live audio webcast will be available beginning at 9:30 a.m. on June 25, 2007 at http://www.calepa.ca.gov/broadcast During the meeting, the webcast audience will have the opportunity to submit questions and comments by e-mail.
