arbcombo -- Reminder: Air Cleaners Must Be Labeled by October 18, 2011 Posted: 08 Aug 2011 14:47:32
This is a reminder that as of October 18, 2011, all certified air cleaning devices sold in California must show the required label that states “This air cleaner complies with the federal ozone emissions limit. ARB certified.” This label may be an adhesive label until October 1, 2012; after that date, the label must be printed on the device packaging. Details regarding this labeling requirement may be found at http://www.arb.ca.gov/research/indoor/aircleaners/manufacturers.htm , and specifically in sections 94801(a)(16) and 94806 of the regulation, which is available at http://www.arb.ca.gov/research/indoor/aircleaners/final_regulation_order_complete_reg_09-08-10.pdf . Manufacturers should review these requirements and assure that their products will meet them. Questions may be directed to Michael Gabor at 916-323-2190 or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
