For Petroleum and Natural Gas Systems, the Air Resources Board
(ARB or Board) staff has posted a discussion draft of potential
revisions to Subarticle 5 of the Regulation for the Mandatory
Reporting of Greenhouse Gas Emissions (title 17, California Code
of Regulations, sections 95100- 95157) (Mandatory Reporting
Regulation). In addition, ARB staff has posted a Draft Test
Procedure entitled Determination of Methane, Carbon Dioxide, and
Volatile Organic Compounds from Crude Oil and Natural Gas
Separation and Storage Tank Systems to support the produced water
emissions calculation.

ARB staff will conduct a technical webinar on June 22th at 10am

Procedure. At this webinar, ARB staff will discuss the changes

It is anticipated that any changes to the Mandatory Reporting
Requirements regulation adopted in 2012 will apply to the
collection of 2013 data beginning January 1, 2013.

The Mandatory Reporting regulation is designed to collect
greenhouse gas emissions using accurate and transparent methods
from reporting entities around California to support multiple
climate change initiatives at the Air Resources Board.
