Johnson Matthey Incorporated’s Continuously Regenerating Technology (CRT®) Verification Extension for On-Road Applications. The Air Resources Board (ARB) has granted an extension for Johnson Matthey Incorporated’s CRT® particulate filter for use with certain 1994 through 2006 on-road diesel vehicles. The extension includes new diesel oxidation catalyst and filter sizes, and expands the applicability of the CRT® particulate filter to higher horsepower engines through upsizing. The CRT® particulate filter system employs a catalyst and a wall-flow diesel particulate filter with a back pressure monitor to achieve an 85 percent reduction in particulate matter emissions, qualifying it for Level 3 Plus verification.
