The California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff conducted a follow-up field investigation and a new investigation to consider NOx control strategies for on-road heavy-duty diesel (HDD) engines equipped with SCR and non-SCR technology. ARB staff conducted a follow-up field investigation on certain on-road heavy-duty diesel (HDD) engines equipped with Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology that was previously reported in 2011. Additionally, staff conducted a new field study investigating NOx control strategies on HDD engines equipped with SCR and non-SCR technology that included field surveys, on-road drivability evaluations and emissions testing.
