gmbond -- Proposition 1B/Goods Movement Notice of Funding Availability for Local and State Agencies
Posted: 07 Feb 2013 16:28:25
The Air Resources Board staff has posted the Proposition 1B Notice of Funding Availability for Fiscal Year 2012-13 (Year 4) funds. This notice solicits applications from eligible local and State agencies to administer funding to reduce emissions and health impacts from diesel equipment used to move freight in California’s four trade corridors. The notice describes the types of agencies eligible to apply, as well as the two-step process for registration and application submittal. Applications are due on March 15, 2013. Please see the Program website at: http://www.arb.ca.gov/gmbond for more information. Background: The Proposition 1B: Goods Movement Emission Reduction Program is a partnership between the State Air Resources Board (ARB) and local agencies (like air districts and ports) to quickly reduce air pollution emissions and health risk from freight movement along California’s trade corridors. ARB provides funding to eligible agencies; those agencies then offer financial incentives to owners of equipment used in freight movement to upgrade to cleaner technologies.
