The Sulfur Hexafluoride Emission Reductions from Gas Insulated Switchgear – FAQs have been updated and are available online. The FAQs provide guidance on the title 17, California Code of Regulations, section 95350, et seq., Regulation for Reducing Sulfur Hexafluoride Emissions from Gas Insulated Switchgear. Four new FAQs were added on July 22, 2013, to the existing list of FAQs and are highlighted in yellow for ease of identification. The FAQ numbering has been updated accordingly. Background: On June 21, 2007, as part of the California Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006 (AB 32) the ARB approved the reduction of SF6 emissions from electricity transmission and distribution equipment as an early action measure. ARB staff, in collaboration with interested stakeholders, developed a control measure to address these emissions.
