Posted: 01 Aug 2013 16:45:40
California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff has posted four new Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) pathways and three revised pathways to the LCFS web site. They are available at http://www.arb.ca.gov/fuels/lcfs/2a2b/2a-2b-apps.htm. In keeping with section 95486 (f)(3)(E) of the LCFS Regulation, Method 2 fuel pathway applications are posted to a web page (at http://www.arb.ca.gov/fuels/lcfs/2a2b/2a-2b-com.htm) for public comment once staff has deemed them to be complete. Comments on each posted application are accepted for ten business days from the day pathways are posted. Pursuant to section 95486(f)(3)(J) of the LCFS regulation, these pathways are deemed to be available for use (reporting and credit-generation) once they are posted to the ARB web site referenced above. For each pathway, we have also posted on the web site a Staff Summary that sets forth all applicable operating conditions and related findings. If you have any questions, please contact Wes Ingram, Manager, Fuels Evaluation Section, at (916) 322-3984. The Low Carbon Fuel Standard, a regulation to reduce the carbon intensity of fuels sold in California ten percent by 2020, is one of the measures adopted by the California Air Resources Board, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 38500-38599 (AB 32) to reduce greenhouse gases in California. It is designed to help clean the air, protect the environment, and drive the development of clean, low-carbon fuels to improve California's energy security and energy independence.
