arbcombo -- New Final Verification—Rubber Tired Gantry Cranes Posted: 12 Sep 2013 15:39:46
RYPOS Verification — Rubber Tired Gantry Cranes . The Air Resources Board (ARB) has verified the RYPOS, Inc. active diesel particulate filter ActiveDPF/C3+TM for certified Tier 3, 2, or 1, or pre-certification diesel engines used in rubber tired gantry (RTG) crane applications operating on CARB diesel fuel. The RYPOS ActiveDPF/C3+TM active diesel particulate filter uses an active flow through filter followed by a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) to achieve at least an 85 percent reduction in particulate matter emissions qualifying it for a Level 3 Plus verification. Level 3 Plus verification means that the system will reduce diesel particulate matter (PM) emissions by 85 percent or more and meets the January 2009 NO2 limit. Specific engine conditions for which the RYPOS ActiveDPF/C3+TM has been approved may be found in the final verification executive order. This RTG final verification executive order is available on our website at the link below: http://www.arb.ca.gov/diesel/verdev/companies/rypos/activedpf3.htm The Regulation for the Verification Procedure for In-Use Strategies to Control Emissions from Diesel Engines was created and adopted by our Board on May 16, 2002. The goal of the Verification Procedure is to ensure that verified systems produce emissions reductions consistent with the verification level and that they are durable and compatible with various engines and applications. Additional information on the regulation is available at the following link: http://www.arb.ca.gov/diesel/verdev/verdev.htm If you have any questions regarding this verification, please contact John Lee at 916.327.5975 or via e-mail at email@example.com.
