arbcombo -- New regulations that affect the installations of DPF's
Posted: 06 Jan 2014 16:29:22
New regulations that affect the installations of particulate filters are now in effect . As a diesel engine owner or user, you may choose to comply with Air Resources Board (ARB or Board) in-use diesel regulations by installing a retrofit PM filter. On August 23, 2012, the Board approved amendments to the Verification Procedure, Warranty, and In-Use Compliance Requirements for In-Use Strategies to Control Emissions from Diesel Engines in Title13, California Code of Regulations, Sections 2700 through 2711. The amendments were approved by the Office of Administrative Law in August 2013 and became effective on October 1, 2013. These modifications provide clarification on who is qualified to install and what is required prior to installing a retrofit PM filter. ARB has posted Mail-Out #MSO 2013-06, titled “Installation and Maintenance of Your Diesel Emission Control Strategy,” that addresses these requirements and an owner-operator’s engine and filter maintenance responsibilities. The Mail-Out may be found on ARB’s webpage at: http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/mailouts/mso1307/mso1307.pdf For more information on installation and maintenance of your retrofit PM filter, go to our retrofit PM filter assistance page located at http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/decsinstall/decsinstall.htm You are receiving this single arbcombo email because you are a subscriber to or have made a public comment to one or more of the following lists: diesel-retrofit, ms-mailings.
