The steering committees for the California Interagency Air and Smoke Council and the California Air Response Planning Alliance invite you to the IASC/CARPA Spring 2014 Meeting. Please save the dates: IASC/CARPA Spring 2014 Meeting, 4/30 and 5/1, McClellan The steering committees for the California Interagency Air and Smoke Council and the California Air Response Planning Alliance invite you to the IASC/CARPA Spring 2014 Meeting. Focus: Managing smoke impacts of wildland fire Objectives: Day 1, coordination protocol development: discussion of all elements of inter-agency coordination for smoke management in the 2013 fire season what worked well and what might need further refinement. Result: input to a smoke management communication/coordination protocol to aid land management, air quality management, and public health agencies in the 2014 and future fire seasons. Day 2, hands-on training: EBAM siting, set up, and operation; data management procedures; smoke impacts communication tools. Result: improved local smoke monitoring capabilities.
