The California Air Resources Board (ARB) invites interested
parties to participate in a public workshop on May 21, 2014, to
discuss the Draft 2013 Consumer and Commercial Products Survey
(2013 Survey) and survey product categories. ARB staff is
soliciting public input for the development of an electronic
submittal form for the 2013 Survey.  In this comprehensive
survey, ARB intends to gather information on all consumer and
commercial products that were sold or supplied for use in
California in calendar year 2013.  The survey represents part of
ARB’s multi-year efforts to evaluate emissions trends for
consumer products and update the emission inventory.

The meeting will be held at the date and time shown below:

ARB’s Consumer Products Program is a key part of overall efforts
to reduce the amount of smog-forming volatile organic compounds,
toxic air contaminants, and greenhouse gasses that are emitted
from use of chemically formulated consumer products in
California.  ARB’s Consumer Products Regulations have resulted in
projected emission reductions of nearly 50 percent since 1990. 
ARB’s Consumer Product Survey is an important step in collecting
information on consumer products that are sold or supplied for
use in California.  The data collected from the Consumer Product
Survey are designed to support the statewide consumer product
inventory, speciation profiles used in criteria pollutant
modelling, and future rulemakings.
