The proposed changes to the on-road chapters of the Carl Moyer Program Guidelines are now available. The proposed language can be found here: http://www.arb.ca.gov/msprog/moyer/moyer.htm Staff will present the proposed changes at the Air Resources Board (ARB or Board) hearing on July 24, 2014. The notice of the public hearing was released on June 6, 2014 and can be found here: http://www.arb.ca.gov/lispub/comm/bclist.php Comments on the proposed changes can be submitted through August 22, 2014, 45 days from the date of the release of the proposed language on July 8, 2014. To be considered before the hearing, comments must be submitted according to the instructions on ARB’s public comments webpage at http://www.arb.ca.gov/lispub/comm/bclist.php. Comments to be considered after the hearing can be submitted to Danielle Robinson, Air Resources Engineer at (626) 575-6775 or drobinso@arb.ca.gov or Tess Sicat, Manager at (626) 459-4435 or msicat@arb.ca.gov. Background Since 1998, the Carl Moyer Program has filled a critical niche in California’s strategy to achieve clean air. The Carl Moyer Program provides grant funding for the incremental cost of cleaner-than-required engines, equipment, and emission reduction technologies. The Carl Moyer Program complements California’s regulatory program by funding emission reductions that are surplus, i.e., early and/or in excess of what is required by regulation. Please note that under the California Public Records Act (Government Code section 6250 et seq.), written and oral comments, attachments, and associated contact information (e.g., address, phone, email, etc.) become part of the public record and can be released to the public upon request.
