The California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff invites you to participate in a public workshop to discuss proposed changes to the Vapor Recovery Equipment Defect (VRED) List. The workshop will be held at the location shown below in Sacramento, California. Interested stakeholders can participate in person or via a listen only teleconference. Date: Wednesday, March 4, 2015 Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Location: Air Resources Board First Floor Conference Rooms 1927 13th Street Sacramento, California At the public workshop, ARB staff will make a short presentation, followed by a question-and-answer period. ARB staff will discuss proposed changes and solicit feedback. Staff’s presentation and supporting information will be posted prior to the workshop on ARB’s website at http://www.arb.ca.gov/vapor/vred/vred.htm. A copy of the Public Workshop Notice, which includes teleconference information, is available at http://www.arb.ca.gov/vapor/vred/wrkshp/march2015.pdf. Background: By law, the ARB Executive Officer is required to identify and list defects in vapor recovery equipment that substantially impair the effectiveness of a vapor recovery system to collect vehicle gasoline refueling emissions. This is referred to as the VRED List. The law also requires the Executive Officer to review the list at a public workshop, once every three years and to update the list, if necessary. The current VRED list was last updated in 2012. For additional information about VRED, please visit the VRED Homepage at: http://www.arb.ca.gov/vapor/vred/vred.htm Please contact Ms. Melinda Weaver at (916) 322-8918 or by email at melinda.weaver@arb.ca.gov, or Ms. Merrin Wright at (916) 324-6191 or by email at merrin.wright@arb.ca.gov if you have any questions regarding the public workshop or the VRED List.
