consprod -- REMINDER: Small business data reporting deadline of July 1, 2015
Posted: 16 Jun 2015 10:20:44
The California Air Resources Board’s (ARB) 2013 Consumer and Commercial Products Survey (2013 Survey) began on September 2, 2014, and the deadline for submission was March 2, 2015. Recognizing the resources needed to complete the 2013 Survey, small businesses with less than 25 total employees were allowed an additional time extension to July 1, 2015, to complete reporting of 2013 data beyond the 90 statutorily required days and the additional 90 days ARB staff issued. As a reminder, July 1, 2015, is the deadline for submission of 2013 data for those companies that were granted this additional extension. Please note that all 2013 data must be uploaded via ARB’s survey web upload portal. The survey upload portal instructions and general information related to the 2013 Survey are available here: http://www.arb.ca.gov/consprod/regact/2013surv/2013main.htm. General information about the Consumer Products Program is available here: http://www.arb.ca.gov/consprod/consprod.htm. ARB’s Consumer Products Program is a key part of overall efforts to reduce the amount of smog-forming volatile organic compounds, toxic air contaminants, and greenhouse gasses that are emitted from use of chemically formulated consumer products in California. ARB’s Consumer Products Regulations have resulted in reduced statewide emissions from consumer products by an estimated 50 percent since 1990. ARB’s 2013 Survey is an important step in collecting information on consumer products that are sold or supplied for use in California. The data collected from the 2013 Data Reporting are designed to support the statewide consumer product inventory, speciation profiles used in criteria pollutant modelling, and future rulemakings.
