The Air Resources Board (ARB) invites you to participate in
workshops to discuss preliminary recommendations for funding
awards to local agencies for projects through the Proposition 1B:
 Goods Movement Emission Reduction Program (Program). The purpose
of the workshops is to receive public input on how the funds
should be distributed among the eligible projects within each of
California’s four priority trade corridors to reduce freight
emissions.

The workshops will be held on August 25th in Fresno, August 26th
in Sacramento, August 27th in Diamond Bar, and August 28th in San
Diego.  The Sacramento workshop will be webcast.

The workshop notice with times and locations is posted on the
Program’s website at:  http://www.arb.ca.gov/gmbond.  The
workshop presentation will be available on the Program’s website
on August 24. 

Background:  The Proposition 1B:  Goods Movement Emission
Reduction Program is a partnership between ARB and local agencies
(like air districts and ports) to reduce air pollution emissions
and health risk from freight movement along California’s trade
corridors.  ARB provides funding to eligible agencies; those
agencies then offer financial incentives to owners of equipment
used in freight movement to upgrade to cleaner technologies.
