On November 29, 2007, from 9:30 am to noon, the Secretary for Environmental Protection will hold a meeting/dialogue with a diverse group of stakeholders. There are a number of climate initiatives led by the administration, the Western Climate Initiative, The Climate Registry and the International Carbon Action Partnership. All are consistent with and complementary to the Global Warming Solutions Act of 2006. It will be essential to communicate with stakeholders and interested parties and facilitate their input into these initiatives. To best accomplish this objective, a Climate Initiative Dialogue Group made up of diverse stakeholders has been asked to work with government officials provide input into these processes. The meetings of the dialogue group will be public and there will be opportunity for anyone in attendance to provide input. This first meeting will focus on providing background information to the dialogue group and discussing the initiatives with the group and with the stakeholders and interested public participating in the meeting.
