Posted: 26 Jul 2016 11:14:17
The California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff has posted the presentation for the Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) workshop to be held on July 29, 2016. At this workshop, staff will discuss potential regulation revisions to improve data quality and reporting methods in the Program, including the addition of third-party verification provisions. Staff will also provide an update on the status of pathway application processing. The presentations and preliminary draft regulation order can be found at: http://www.arb.ca.gov/fuels/lcfs/lcfs_meetings/lcfs_meetings.htm. If you have questions about the workshop, please contact Jim Aguila, Branch Chief, Climate Change Program Planning and Management Branch, at (916) 322-8283 or via email at Jim.Aguila@arb.ca.gov, or Renee Lawver, Manager, Substance Evaluation Section at (916) 322-7062 or via email at Renee.Lawver@arb.ca.gov. The LCFS, a regulation to reduce the carbon intensity of fuels sold in California ten percent by 2020, is one of the measures adopted by ARB, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 38500-38599 (AB 32) to reduce California’s greenhouse gas emissions. It is designed to help clean the air, protect the environment, and drive the development of clean, low-carbon fuels. California is in a drought emergency.
