The California Air Resources Board (ARB) staff invites you to participate in a Low Carbon Fuel Standard (LCFS) public workshop. The workshop will discuss: (1) a preliminary rulemaking timeline for evaluating program enhancements to meet greenhouse gas (GHG) targets and other requirements under SB 32 (Pavley, 2016) and AB 197 (Garcia, 2016) as informed by the ongoing development of the 2030 GHG Target Scoping Plan, and (2) the addition of mandatory third-party verification to the program. The workshop will be held at the following time and location: DATE: Monday, October 24, 2016 TIME: 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. LOCATION: Sierra Hearing Room, Second Floor ADDRESS: Cal/EPA Headquarters Building 1001 "I" Street Sacramento, California 95814 This workshop will be webcast. The LCFS, a regulation to reduce the carbon intensity of fuels sold in California ten percent by 2020, is one of the measures adopted by ARB, pursuant to Health and Safety Code Sections 38500-38599 (AB 32) to reduce California’s greenhouse gas emissions.
