On-Road Emissions Inventory Program

This page updated November 1, 2006.

The on-road emissions inventory is an estimation of the population, activity and emissions of the on-road motor vehicles in use in California.  The emissions inventory models calculate the contribution of gas, diesel, and electrically powered passenger cars, light, medium and heavy-duty trucks, motorcycles, school and transit buses and motor homes for the years 1970 through 2040.
