February 26, 2002 TO: ALL INTERESTED PARTIES SUBJECT: FORMAL PUBLIC WORKSHOP TO EVALUATE ALTERNATIVES TO THE 7-DAY WAITING PERIOD SPECIFIED IN AIR RESOURCES BOARD VOLUNTARY ACCELERATED VEHICLE RETIREMENT (VAVR) REGULATIONS The Air Resources Board (ARB) plans to hold a formal public workshop on March 20, 2002, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm at the following location: California Air Resources Board Auditorium 9530 Telstar Avenue El Monte, California 91731 ARB staff will accept and discuss alternatives to the 7-day waiting period currently specified in ARB VAVR regulations. Specific issues to be covered include, but are not limited to, the adequacy of the 7-day notice period and methods to inform interested parties regarding the specific vehicles entering the VAVR program and which may be of collector interest.
