Mobile Sources Program - Consumers Portal
This page last reviewed January 28, 2011
The Air Resources Board sets engine standards for mobile sources in
California. This includes everything from diesel trucks
and buses to lawn and garden equipment. Cleaner gasoline and diesel
fuels, in combination with tighter engine standards, make cars and
other mobile sources in California the cleanest in the world. Although,
it is important to recognize that emission levels will still vary
between
vehicles due to differences in emissions standards and emission
reduction
technologies. So, stay informed and make the clean air decision. If you have questions or see a smoking vehicle call 1-800-END-SMOG.
