SUBJECT: Certification of Direct Ozone Reduction Technologies

This letter transmits the attached Manufacturers Advisory Correspondence (MAC). The MAC describes Air Resources Board policy pertaining to the certification of passenger cars, light-duty trucks, and medium-duty vehicles with direct ozone reduction (DOR) technologies. The MAC describes those specific procedures and methods by which a manufacturer may obtain non-methane organic gas (NMOG) credits for the use of DOR technologies.
