MSD-G/01 ASSOCIATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS -

Includes all parties who wish to receive ALL correspondence which are mailed to the public by the Mobile Source Control Division and the Mobile Source Operations Division. These associations DO NOT need to be listed on any other MSD list.

MSD-G/02 GREY MARKET/DIRECT IMPORTERS AND/OR LICENSED VEHICLE -

Grey market vehicles also known as direct import vehicles (DIVs) are those that were not originally built for use in the United States (US). They do not meet US emission standards or safety standards. The ARB has separate regulatory programs for DIVs that are new (up to 2 years old) and for those that are used (over 2 years old).

MSD-A/01 HEAVY-DUTY VEHICLES/ENGINES -

MSD-A/02 HEAVY-DUTY VEHICLE INSPECTION PROGRAMS -

Includes contacts involved with on-road heavy-duty vehicles. Includes, but not limited to: truck owners, fleet operators, maintenance personnel, truck repair facilities, heavy-duty engine manufacturers, test equipment manufacturers, trucking trade associations, and other government smoke abatement programs.

MSD-A/09 IN-USE SURVEILLANCE VEHICLES TEST REPORTS -

The ARB periodically conducts surveillance programs to assess the emissions from the vehicles exhaust and to evaluate I/M (Smog) program. The report is published on completion of the program.

MSD-A/10 IN-USE SURVEILLANCE (RFP)/VEHICLE PROCUREMENT CONTRACT -

The Contractor will solicit the private vehicle owners for participation in a test program. The Contractor will deliver the vehicles to the State Laboratory in El Monte for testing.

MSD-A/11 SB501 TAG -

Includes members of the Senate Bill 501 (SB501), Technical Advisory Group (TAG) who advise ARB on the development of emissions credit calculation protocol for use with light-duty vehicle scrappage programs.

MSD-B/01 SMALL OFF-ROAD ENGINES (SORE) -

Includes all engines under 25 horsepower. Including, but not limited to, engines used in lawn and garden equipment, such as mowers, chainsaws, garden tractors, leaf blowers, and other applications such as generators, pumps, specialty vehicles, non-electric golf carts, motorized skateboards and go-karts.

MSD-B/02 OFF-HIGHWAY RECREATIONAL VEHICLES -

Includes, but not limited to, equipment such as off-road motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, golf carts, and other equipment/vehicles used for recreational purposes.

MSD-B/03 LOCOMOTIVES -

Includes, but not limited to, vehicles or engines that push or pull freight or passenger cars on fixed rails.

MSD-B/04 MARINE VESSELS -

Includes, but not limited to, commercial marine vessels such as tugboats, tankers, freighter, passenger ships, barges, fishing vessels, or other commercial boats, ships, or watercraft (not used primarily for recreation).

MSD-B/05 RECREATIONAL MARINE -

Includes, but not limited to, boats used for recreation, fishing, water skiing, sightseeing, and transportation. This includes yachts, inboards, outboards, sailboats with auxiliary propulsion engines, and small personal watercraft (e.g., "Jet Skis", or the like).

MSD-B/06 DEALERS OF RECREATIONAL MARINE ENGINES -

Includes importers and distributors of boats used for recreation, fishing, water skiing, sightseeing, transportation, etc.

MSD-B/07 COMPRESSION IGNITION ENGINES 25 HORSEPOWER AND GREATER -

Includes, but not limited to, engines used in farm, construction, and industrial mobile equipment such as pumps, generators, compressors, airport service equipment, turf care, personnel carriers, forklifts, bulldozers, mobile cranes, tractors, and other similar equipment.

MSD-B/08 SPARK IGNITION ENGINES 25 HORSEPOWER AND GREATER -

Includes, but not limited to, engines used in farm, construction, and industrial mobile equipment such as pumps, generators, compressors, airport service equipment, turf care, personnel carriers, forklifts, and other similar equipment.
