On December 8, 2005, the Air Resources Board adopted the Fleet Rule for
Public Agencies and Utilities, which requires municipalities and utilities to apply best available control technology
to diesel heavy-duty vehicles in their fleet. To assist municipalities and utilities with their compliance efforts,
the Air Resources Board will present seven (7) "training seminars" during the months of October and November.
These seminars are designed to provide an opportunity for municipalities and utilities to learn about the regulation,
to learn about types of devices and strategies available to assist with compliance, and to speak one-on-one with
local district incentive funding staff and local retrofit manufacturers and providers. |
