4th of July - Freedom to Choose Clean Air and Energy Independence Events and Parades

This page last reviewed November 20, 2008

You can help support the freedom to choose clean air and energy independence by driving your electric, hybrid or alternative fuel vehicle in your local 4th of July parade. Anyone may participate, and this page provides you with the information and materials you'll need to get you started.

Listed below is a sampling of July 4th events throughout California. Those shown in
red include a parade. If your city is not listed, it doesn't mean there is no event. Call your city hall and find out if there is an event you can participate in and let us know about it. If there is no event in your town, consider contacting a nearby town. More events and parades as well as common themes and messages will be continually added, so please check back often.

Outreach materials such as common messages, fact sheets, vehicle specification sheets and sample speaking / letter points are available for you to use in the parade or festivities you choose to participate in.

Please let us know if you are participating in the
4th of July Freedom to Choose Clean Air and Energy Independence Campaign by sending Lisa Kasper an e-mail. Tell us who are and what activity you will be participating in.

If you have any questions, please contact
Lisa Kasper.
