ARB lauds national air pollution study on vehicle pollution
ARB Chairman Mary D. Nichols issued the following statemet today in response to the release of the Health Effects Institute's health report issued today
Sacramento - "The breadth and comprehensiveness of the HEI work provides strong scientific support for continuing efforts to address vehicle pollution here in California and across the country," said ARB Chairman Mary D. Nichols. "When nearly half of the nation's population is being exposed to unhealthy levels of these pollutants, it's clearly time for all of us to work together to bring cleaner air to our communities."
The full report of HEI Traffic Panel is available at health effects institute.
ARB's mission is to promote and protect public health, welfare, and ecological resources through effective reduction of air pollutants while recognizing and considering effects on the economy.
