Dunlap to Speak at World Car Conference

SACRAMENTO -- Air Resources Board (ARB) Chairman John Dunlap will present a keynote speech at the World Car Conference on January 21, 1997. Dunlap's presentation will kick off the Transportation and Technological Development in the Global Environment II session, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The conference will be held at:

The World Car Conference is a venue for companies to present the latest clean air automotive technologies. Dunlap's keynote speech will highlight California's successful cleaner-burning gasoline program as well as the progress that has been made in clean-car technologies, including Zero-Emission and Low-Emission Vehicles.

The Air Resources Board is a department of the California Environmental Protection Agency. ARB's mission is to promote and protect public health, welfare, and ecological resources through effective reduction of air pollutants while recognizing and considering effects on the conomy. The ARB oversees all air pollution control efforts in California to attain and maintain health based air quality standards.
