RICHMOND
-- Tomorrow the California Environmental Protection Agency's Air Resources Board (ARB) will hold a public meeting to review Community Health Programs and the impacts of California Phase 3 Gasoline on air quality and gasoline costs. In addition to these staff presentations, members of the public are invited to discuss their communities' air quality concerns with the ARB.

   Thursday, February 22
4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Richmond City Council Chambers
2600 Barrett Avenue, Third Floor
Richmond, California

In addition, ARB staff will review the Board's plan to reduce emissions from diesel engines. ARB data shows that 70 percent of all airborne toxics are emitted by diesels.

The Air Resources Board is a department of the California Environmental Protection Agency. ARB's mission is to promote and protect public health, welfare, and ecological resources through effective reduction of air pollutants while recognizing and considering effects on the economy. The ARB oversees all air pollution control efforts in California to attain and maintain health based air quality standards.

The energy challenge facing California is real. Every Californian needs to take immediate action to reduce energy consumption. For a list of simple ways you can reduce demand and cut your energy costs, see our Website.
