Four Regulatory Reports Release

SACRAMENTO -- The California Air Resources Board (ARB) today released final staff reports on four regulatory items that are to be considered at the December 10, 1998, ARB Board meeting in Sacramento. The reports cover:

Proposed new regulations to reduce emissions from on-road motorcycles.
Proposed new regulations that will designate geographic areas and time-frames to allow riding of off-road motorcycles that do not meet California emission standards.
Proposed emission regulations for outboard marine engines and personal watercraft.
Plans for a program to purchase and scrap older, high-polluting automobiles.
